Dina received two Fine Arts degrees: a BFA from Pratt Art Institute and an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She was awarded a Maytag Fellowship from the University of Iowa, a Pushcart Prize nomination, and was accepted at residencies in the countries of Georgia, Spain, and Wales.
While she lived in San Francisco and attended Stanford University on a Stegner Fellowship in poetry, she telecommuted full time to Disney's Burbank office, where she worked as an award-wining senior copy writer and content strategist.
Dina was a finalist in Poets and Writers' New Voices in California contest, a finalist in University of Southern California’s Gold Line Press chapbook contest, and has been the winner and/or listed as an honorary mention in national literary contests.

Her poetry, poetry comics, and other work have been published in numerous journals and anthologies.
Places she's read (see images from select readings): bookstores; classrooms; theaters; universities; cafes; auditoriums; yoga studios; book fairs; literary festivals; art museums; galleries; and has read or will be reading in: Iowa City, IA; San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, Hollywood, Pasadena, San Francisco, and other cities in northern and southern California; Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE; and in El Bruc and Málaga, Spain.
Dina was a co-founder and -host of a monthly reading series that started in Downtown Los Angeles and ended in Santa Monica, CA. The series featured Southern Californian and nationally known poets.
She taught creative writing at Stanford, the University of Iowa, and guest lectured for college-prep classes in Los Angeles. She was the managing director of TXT, conducted creative writing courses in Dubai, UAE and is now teaching creative writing courses in Madrid, Spain.
